Hybrid combiners
A hybrid combiner brings several signal sources – operators' base stations and the VIRVE/TETRA public-safety network, for example – into one passive in-building antenna network and splits the combined signal equally across its output ports. Every output carries every source, so one trunk network serves all of them, and the combiner needs no power.
BDC hybrid combiners cover 380–3800 MHz, from VIRVE/TETRA to the 5G mid-bands. The range has 2×2, 3×3 and 4×4 hybrids: choose the port count by how many sources you combine and how many trunk lines you feed. Every model handles 400 W average power and has 4.3-10 female connectors.
The values that matter in a combiner are port-to-port isolation, return loss, insertion loss and PIM. BDC states them on the datasheet as guaranteed minimums, not typical values, and PIM is ≤ −160 dBc on every hybrid. Per-model values are in the comparison table below. Unused ports are terminated with a 50 ohm load so reflections don't return into the network.
